 I just wanted to clarify something. Every item that link in my articles and recipes is something that I actually have in my kitchen and use. I do not promote items just for the sake of promoting them. I link the tools that I use so that others can get a better understanding of how I work in my kitchen. There are many items that I use in my kitchen that I highly recommend you get for your own kitchen. These items make your cooking life so much easier. Below are some of the tools that I currently use in my kitchen. Please note that whenever possible I link the items directly to the manufacturers website. The price that they offer is not always the best, so please do your own research if you plan on purchasing any of the items that I link.


These are the exact set of knives that I use in my kitchen, with one exception. I had to purchase an 8" Chef's Knife as the set does not come with one.  If you look closely at the set you will notice that the knives are made of a single piece of steel. That makes not only for a stronger knife but a safer one as well, since there is no fear of the handle break off on you while you use it.. This set can be found just about anywhere.  Here is the mixer I use. This thing is not only powerful but it is fun to use as well, with all of it's attachments.

​This is one of my favorite tools to use in my kitchen. It is easy to use, cleanup, and barely takes up any space in your cabinet.

The meat thermometer that I use made made by a company called Oregon Scientific. It is a very good unit that is programmable.

​As far as cookware and bakeware goes I recommend that you get the best sets that you can afford since you are going to be using them for many years to come. I personally have 2 sets of Wolfgang Puck's Stainless Steel pots and pans along with 2 Wolfgang Puck cast iron frying pans, and a set of nonstick pots and pans. Like I said purchase the best that you can afford. If however you cannot afford a decent set I highly recommend that you save up and buy them when you can. Keep in mind that pots and pans sold in sets are less expensive than purchasing one piece at a time with the exception of cast iron frying pans. You really only need one 12" cast iron fryer. 

Care and maintenance of your cookware is very important. I learned the hard of what not to do. A perfect example, I have an electric stove top. Mind you that I was accustomed to cooking on a gas stove. The first time I used my new stove I warped one of my pans. I made the grave mistake of running water into my pan right after using it while it was still hot. Mind you with a gas stove top this doesn't really mean anything however on an electric stove top it makes all the difference in the world since a warped pot or pan takes forever to heat up on an electric stove top. My advice to you is that when you finish cooking set your pots and pans aside to cool off before placing them into  your sink to wash.
